Barbaresco Vigneto Starderi DOCG 2020, La Spinetta

Full-bodied, complex, dry, balanced acidity, strong oak impression, fairly tannic. A dark ruby colour with aromas of black pepper, blackberry, cassis, coffee, floral, smoky, tobacco and vanilla, which carry through to the palate. The Starderi vineyard is just over the hill from Gallina, immediately above the Tanaro River, which helps moderate the climate – taking the edge off both summer heat and winter frosts. The Rivettis describe the style of wine it produces as rich, while maintaining great elegance.
