Brancaia Chianti Classico Gran Selezione is savoury and complex, and gives the impression of being a mellow, matured wine, even while relatively young. It is fine and rounded in texture, with deep, woodsy flavours and beautiful balance. It could easily age for decades…however it is absolutely ready to enjoy straight away (give it an hour in a decanter to appreciate it at its best). This is a 100% Sangiovese, selected from a single vineyard site. The wine is not necessarily made every vintage, and the specific site may vary – the criteria are that this has to be the best-performing plot in a given year, from only the best years.
