Chambolle Musigny Premier Cru Charmes 2019, Frédéric Magnien

This old vine block of the Chambolle Musigny ‘Charmes’ Premier Cru was planted in the early 1900s. The extremely poor soil here, with limestone bedrock just 40-50cm below the surface forces the vines to produce intensely concentrated fruit, making ‘Charmes’ among the most prized Premier Cru wines. Its intensity allows it to be paired with dishes of richness and depth of flavour.
