Tapestry Reserve 2017, Beaulieu Vineyard
£75.00
With a notably dark colour and concentrated black fruit character to match, the Tapestry Reserve unfurls in the glass to reveal deep, balsamic, soy sauce, earthy and spicy notes. These add complexity to the gorgeously succulent black cherry fruit and leafy freshness. On the palate, it is juicy yet lean, long and focused, with fabulous, fresh, natural acidity, and blackberries and blueberries coming out to play on the finish. This sumptuous combination of Bordeaux varieties is dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, with the balance made up of Merlot, Petit Verdot, Malbec and Cabernet Franc. The wine is aged for 22 months in approximately 60% new French oak barrels.
