Michelle 2017 4x 75cl 14.5% “This exceptionally smooth and elegant wine has aromas of ripe cherry and plum, complemented by earthy undercurrents of smoked cacao and spicy cola. Silky-soft on the palate, it has flavours of cherry, blackberry and vanilla, which glide into a long, satiny finish. Tenet is a collaboration between famed Rhône Valley names, Michel Gassier and and Philippe Cambie, along with Columbia Valley’s Chateau Ste Michelle. Plenty of leaf canopy is kept on the vines, so that the fruit ripens gently in dappled shade, for a fresher, more elegant style of wine. Beautifully well-balanced and proportioned, with freshness but not sharpness, subtle oak and succulent, satisfying, embracing texture.” Eroica XLC Dry Riesling Chateau Ste. Michelle 2018 2x 75cl 12.5% ” Made with expertise from Ernst Loosen, German wine legend, this Riesling reflects the dry ‘GG’ wines that have risen to prominence over recent years. XLC refers to ‘extended lees contact,’ which brings about a wonderfully deep, supple, rounded texture and complex flavours, making this beautifully drinkable, despite being bone dry. It has incredible aromas of lime and white grapefruit, and a distinctive toasty complexity. In the mouth, it’s succulent, ripe and savoury, with lovely, supple-textured tannins and superb balance. This is excellent! Made from grapes grown in Wahluke Slope, Yakima Valley, Horse Heaven Hills, Snipes Mountain and Columbia Valley.
