Puligny Montrachet Les Charmes 2018, Domaine Chavy

Les Charmes is a vineyard that crosses the boundary between Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet. The Meursault section gets to be a Premier Cru, but the Puligny portion does not. How unfair is that? Premier Cru or otherwise, this wine is a clear step up from a normal ‘village’ Puligny, and Alain Chavy elevates it to something particularly special.
