This beautiful Chardonnay presents a panoply of peach, toasted almond and lemon meringue pie aromas, while white nectarine and green melon dominate the palate. An ‘oyster shell’ finish is suggestive of salinity and provides a thrilling counterpoint to the wine’s juicy fruit character. Matured for seven months in a combination of 20% new and 80% seasoned oak, it gathers along the way a collection of intriguing aromas, which are kept in focus by the zippy acidity and elegance of the cool climate, high altitude Orange region.
