Grand Cru Pinot Noir ‘Kirschgarten’ GG 2014, Knipser
£66.50
Finding complexity in this wine is no challenge at all – there is an immediate bouquet of fresh flowers, peppery spice, frankincense, beeswax and black truffle. Eloquent and refined, it has lovely, easy roundness of texture, exquisite balance and overall sense of completeness. With fabulous persistence of flavour on the finish, this is drinking superbly now, and will continue to do so over the next 6-7 years. This comes from a single ‘Grand Cru’ (Grosses Gewächs) called Kirschgarten (= ‘Cherry Garden’)
