On the palate, the tannins are fabulously silky, and the wine evokes a sense of gentle ripeness, while remaining precise and focused. The flavour concentration is channelled into long, lean persistence instead of obvious richness. Clearly from a warm, ripe year, it remains fresh and beautifully-balanced.
