Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru 2015, Domaine Leflaive
£1,550.00
This is a rich, decadent wine that nevertheless possesses fine balance, restraint and elegance. While impressive immediately, it also has a fine track record of being capable of cellaring for many years. The Domaine Leflaive holding of Bâtard-Montrachet covers 1.91 hectares in four plots: two each on the Chassagne and the Puligny sides of this Grand Cru. It is farmed biodynamically, picked manually and undergoes fermentation and ageing in Vosges and Allier oak barrels, of which typically 25% are first-fill. The contents of these are allowed to marry in large cuve for six months prior to bottling.
