Portugal is the source of some great value, straightforward yet uniquely-styled whites, many of which are made from grape varieties seldom found outside of the country. This example comes from the Setúbal Peninsula, a coastal region immediately to the south of Lisbon. A light-bodied and easy-drinking white wine with moderate acidity providing a gentle texture. Subtly floral on the nose, combining hints of blossom with a core of ripe citrus fruit. A great match for chicken tagine with dried apricots and mild aromatic spices.
