Max Schubert, creator of Grange, made the first Bin 389 in 1960. Matured in barrels that held the previous vintage of that legendary wine, the 389 is often referred to as a ‘Baby Grange’. A complex nose of dark fruits, Christmas cake and liquorice, with a palate of ripe blackcurrants, blackberries and touches of quince and coffee. This is an elegant and concentrated wine. Try with rare roasted rack of lamb, ideally after decanting to aerate.
