The wines from this excellent left bank vintage have finally shed their tannic shell and are drinking beautifully now. With a lovely, mature nose of forest floor, blackberry and cigar box. The palate is rich and multi-layered with notes of pepper, plum and tobacco leaf. This is a harmonious, well textured wine with a freshness and poise only found in mature claret. Drink it over the next 6-8 years with the traditional roast dinner.
